Rob Stanford, Senior Applications Systems Analyst at Auburn University

Rob Stanford is the System Administrator for Auburn University’s OnGuard system. As a Senior Application Systems Analyst with Auburn’s Facilities Management, his responsibilities also include supporting other enterprise software solutions and campus stakeholders.

Rob has been an integral part of the campus team tasked with introducing mobile credentials to students and employees as well as updating over 3,500 card readers throughout campus. Rob enjoys working as part of a team and believes in hard work, but also finds a way to have fun doing it. He is an avid sports fan; baseball being his favorite. When he is not cheering on his favorite team, he also finds joy hiking in the woods, attending a concert, or traveling with his family.

Martin Kollek, NYUIT Project Lead at New York University

At his core Martin is an Engineer with an Artist's heart... or is it an Artist with an Engineer's heart. Meh... You get the point! He loves the Great Outdoors. Hiking, fishing, camping, snowboarding, you name it!

Jeff Koziol works for Allegion as a Business Development Manager for Higher Education. He was worked for Allegion/Ingersoll Rand for over 31 years in three different businesses with various assignments in Project Management, Product Management, Marketing, Sales and Business Development.

Jeff is a member of NACCU – the National Association of Campus Card Users - and has a passion for working with Higher Education clients and partners to improve campus security while improving the student experience in this area.

Brian Tripp, OnGuard Product Manager at LenelS2

Brian is part of the OnGuard Enterprise Solutions team for LenelS2, focused on the areas of Access Control, Enterprise, and Core Infrastructure, but also serves as the ‘lead’ PM for coordination of the OnGuard programs. He joined Lenel in 2005 prior to the UTC acquisition in the Global Education team and grew into the position of Internal Training Manager, a role focused on educating internal Sales/Technical Teams on the latest product additions. Working closely with PM in this role led him to join the team as the PM for OnGuard in 2010. Since then, Brian and the team have supported OnGuard and our customers thru more than a dozen releases.

Before working at Lenel, Brian spent 7 years working as a Value Added Reseller for 3D Design Software; providing demonstrations, technical sales, and then managing their application engineering and support groups. He holds degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Physics and served in the US Army.

We will have a panel discussion on mobile and how campuses made their choices. We will take a few minutes to discuss biometrics/facial recognition at the beginning.

David Brudnicki “DB" leads global product management teams responsible for Apple's Identity, Transit, Access and Ticketing products and services in Apple Wallet. His teams helped shape a number of Apple Wallet and Apple Pay features and he has played a key role in creation and launch of Apple Cash and Tap to Pay on iPhone.

DB also leads Apple's efforts on Identity, bringing the first driver’s licenses and state IDs to Apple Wallet. Prior to Apple, he held product and technology leadership roles in payments and mobile applications at two start-ups and at AT&T Wireless Services. DB is a decorated veteran of the United States Coast Guard.

Ewa Pigna, Chief Technology Officer at LenelS2

Ewa started her career with IBM in Boca Raton, FL., as a software engineer supporting autonomous manufacturing projects. She transitioned to CASI, a startup access control manufacturer supplying high end security solutions to corporate customers. She held various engineering positions, ranging from software developer, QA manager, software development manager, and vice president of engineering.

In 2002, she joined GE where she continued to expand her technical skills as well as leadership within engineering where she held many positions including of vice president of engineering. In 2008, Ewa was named Principal Engineer in the Office of Chief Engineer. As a deep technical subject matter expert in her field, Ewa focused on implementation of GE Security’s technology growth strategies for integrated products as well as developing technical talent within the company.

In 2010 Ewa joined UTC Fire & Security division of United Technologies. Ewa was named UTC Fellow for her deep software architecture expertise and contributions to the business. She provided mentorship to many women in technology across UTC and participated in the community by supporting STEM events. In 2013, Ewa assumed engineering leadership role as CTO at Lenel. Her focus was new product development and innovation as well developing technology partnerships to complement the overall Lenel solutions.

In 2024 with the Access Solutions acquisition by Honeywell, Ewa leads the Engineering team for the overall portfolio of LenelS2, Supra, Onity, and MAS businesses. Team’s focus is on developing next generation security solutions supporting cloud services, mobile credentials, and analytics enabling automated expert systems.

Ewa is the recipient of GE Security CEO Award, GE Women in Technology Award, as well as several patents for her work on mobile devices and integrated security applications. She is the recipient of Rochester’s Woman in Technology award from the local Rochester community for her contributions towards STEM education and promotion of women’s career development. Ewa is a University of California in Los Angeles alumna where she earned a B.S. degree in Mathematics and Computer Science.

Tracy has been with Stanford University since 2007 and she works for University IT on the Card Services Technical team. Basically, if an ID card is involved in any way, her team supports it! This includes Lenel OnGuard for access control, CS Gold and Atrium for campus card transaction processing, Fargo Connect for badge printing, Detrios and Traka, and any upstream or downstream integrations in-between.

Her primary focus at the moment is migrating campus off of old ILS hardware and executing a successful and long-awaited upgrade to Lenel OnGuard 8.2 in August.

Craig Newell is the Vice President of Sales and Business Development at Traka, a part of the ASSA ABLOY Group, the global leader in access solutions. A native of the United Kingdom, Craig studied at the University of Northampton and joined Traka in Olney, the UK as a Production and Service Technician in 1999.
